Membership
All riders must be members of the NBL to race or practice, and applications can be filled out at the track.
Come out and try BMX for the first time for free. All you need to do is have a parent or guardian with you to sign a waiver and one of our experienced riders will take a couple laps with you before you get turned loose on the track by yourself.
MEMBERSHIP: Costs $45.00 per year. A TRIAL MEMBERSHIP is available if you are not sure you want to get the full membership yet, or want to break the membership fee in two payments. You pay $25.00 when you sign up and the remaining $20.00 is due in 30 days if you wish to purchase the full membership. Expect to fill out paperwork on your first day. You will need a parent/guardian to be with you to sign if you are under 18 years old. A copy of your birth certificate is also needed, but not required to race on your first day. You can bring the copy to the track at your next race or mail a copy directly to the NBL office. When you become a member of the NBL, you are given a 6 digit membership number. The last 3 digits of this number are your bike number. Put this number on your plate and the scorers will know who you are. The NBL and Gatorade provide number plates and numbers to every rider who signs up for a full membership. It is important to keep the pink of your membership application until you receive a membership card in the mail from the NBL. Bring either your pink copy of your application or your membership card to registration each time you sign up to race.
Entry fees
You will be charged with an entry fee for each race.
Equipment needed
Any 20" bicycle - for safety reasons you will need to remove any pegs, the kickstand, reflectors and put on a handle bar pad, gooseneck pad & center bar pad. The pads can be purchased at most bicycle shops. Full faced helmet - or an open-faced helmet with a mouth guard. Long sleeve shirt & pants The willingness to have A LOT of fun - and earn a trophy in the process! Sign up with the NBL and for the day's racing at the registration building.

How much money does it cost to start racing? You will need the following:
1. NBL License Fee
Trial Membership (30 days) $25.00 Or Full Membership (1 year) $45.00
2. Entrée Fee (If signing up at a race)
Practice is free if you sign up at a practice
